What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up

like a raisin in the sun?

Or fester like a sore—

And then run?

Does it stink like rotten meat?

Or crust and sugar over—

like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags

like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

Slavery has been abolished by the war power.

This, I and my European friends are glad of,

for slavery is but the owning of labor

and carries with it the care of the laborers.

The European plan, led by England,

is that capital shall control labor

by controlling wages.

This 'global' album, in the best sense of the word,

Is a direct response to the Arab Spring and Occupy.
