The Story

In Egypt a great creative energy

is released with the falling of a u.s.a. backed dictator.

In Vancouver in moments of the Occupy space something happens.

A book on the labour movement "Poems for the Shaw"

is greeted with muted silence.

This notion of recording "A Week of Song"

did not arise in a dream but the beginning was

slightly auspicious.

               A revolution is not a bed of roses;
                          it is a struggle between the future and the past.

Art is the opposite of dissipation,

in the spiritual, and physical sense, of the word;

it is concentration; desire that seeks incarnation.

                                              Sacrifice is none other than the production of sacred things.

“The world is a dangerous place to live;

not because of the people who are evil

but because of the people

who don’t do anything about it.”
